Boy's day was in full effect last weekend. Carter knows that whenever his mother goes out of town, that it's time for Boy's day. Boy's day is something I came up with as bonding time for us two. It's pretty epic for a 6-year-old.

Basically, I let him do, eat, drink, and play whatever he wants (within reason of course). Do you want to stay on your Ipad all night? Cool, do it. You want ice cream when you wake up? Let's get it. Oh, you want a whole Coke to drink? Who cares? POUR UP.
Friday we had our customary Boy's Day meal... The Brisket sandwich. I had turkey this time though (this blood pressure is no joke) He smashed as usual. We stayed up late, and I was forced to watch King Kong Vs. Godzilla. Four thumbs down.
I hate that movie 😑 , Of course, our night didn't end without us getting into it. He was pissed that I was on my phone and not watching the movie, even though he was on his Ipad not watching the movie. We eventually got over it and made up.
Saturday morning was basketball practice and his game. He scored 8 points and got a couple of assists too. His confidence has really improved and I'm so happy he had a good time at the game. He got the game medal for Sportsmanship too!!
Afterward, we went to the barbershop and got fresh. His barber's wife got him some Chick-Fil-A, and I was grateful and happy because I didn't have to buy it this time.
Once we got ourselves fed and cleaned up after the barbershop, we headed to Andretti's Indoor Go-Kart and Games. We played almost everything. From basketball to racing, to shooting games, you name it. Neither one of us wanted to leave. We toasted to the good life and called it a day!
Once we got done gaming, we saw an ice cream parlor right outside, and you already know what we did. I didn't care about a possible stomach ache, because that root-beer float I had was totally worth it. He enjoyed his Rasberry ice cream and I'm glad because this dude has a history of asking for ish and not wanting it once he tastes it...😒

We got home, did a little playfighting and roughhousing, and relaxed. Around 11:00 at night I said, "You hungry?? He said, "Yup" (he has his father's appetite)Tell me why we ended up at Hooters?! 🙃🤣 We got back home and smashed. Buddy was so full, he fell asleep holding his Ipad. I meant to watch a movie that night, but the tv ended up watching me...SMH.
Sunday, we took his dinosaur jeep outside. We got some sunshine and fresh air. We ended the day with some good old fashion rock-throwing at the turtles in the pond nearby. We really enjoyed each other's company and had so much fun outside.
Later that day, he hugged me and said "Thanks for everything this weekend dad." I can't front, my heart melted 🖤💛 I know how much he loves our time together. I love it more than he does.
Bringing him joy and putting a smile on his face truly brings me happiness. I pray that he will always remember these times we share.
Next weekend we're going to see Mortal Kombat at the IMAX Theater. I'm probably more excited than he is 😫🤣. I got him hyped about nachos and made sure to tell him that he could get his own (because I'm the one that's not trying to share)....LMAO.
Stay tuned...
