Wow...It was a long and a short two weeks last month when Carter went to Indianapolis to stay with his grandparents and cousins. We have never been apart longer than about 4 days, so I was pretty nervous at how it would be without him for two weeks. The day he left, Carter and I had our private moment. He gave me a hug, and told me that he was going to miss me. I held back my tears, but as soon as he left, I went back in the house by myself like...

The first week was very quiet as I expected it to be. We may have been bored at home without him, but he on the other hand was having the time of his life! You really don't realize how much of your life revolves around your children until you get to spend some time apart. I was legitimately trying to figure out how I would spend my free time. I decided to catch up on some much needed rest, and to spend more time on my side hustle.

Week two went by fast! I caught a flight to Indy that Friday to go pick him up. I couldn't wait to see him...OMG, it seemed like he grew, and it was one of the best hugs I have ever gotten! We were both so excited to see each other. It was a great trip back home. I was able to see friends and family that I have not seen in years. I REALLY needed that trip. It felt so good to be around loved ones that I had not gotten the chance to see the last few times I was home.

The weekend in Indy went by way too fast, and just like that, we were on a flight back to Dallas, with our masks on of course. Now we are back home, and guess what?! Toys and clothes are all over the place. The back seat of my car is back to being dirty, and he still is spilling half of his plate on the floor when he eats. His Ipad is back to being on surround sound, and it is loud as HELL! This boy will NOT stop moving and running...yeah so...when is the next two week visit again? I think I will survive this one...LMAO.
